   Biography

Biologist in Natural Resources Management and B.S. degree in Natural Resources (2011) from the Catholic University of Temuco, and since 2013 I started a PhD in systematics and biodiversity in the Departament of Zoology, University of Concepción, Chile. My research interests are related to systematics, evolution, biogeography, taxonomy, ecology and conservation of birds, with focus in Neotropical birds. My actual research areas are (1) systematics and historical biogeography with DNA-based studies, (2) application of new methods, especially analyses of DNA and vocalizations for species delimitation, and (3) link between phylogeography and conservation and (4) aquatic bird surveys and conservation.
