Facundo Barbar

Facundo Barbar


Born in Buenos Aires city in 1985. In 2000 he started to birdwatching and became interested in conservation problems. Since then he worked in several NGO related with raptor conservation. In 2003 he started to work in the "project of conservation and rescue of bird of prey" in the Buenos Aires zoo, working in the rehabilitation of several species of raptors, including Crowned Eagles (Harpyhaliaetus coronatus). He also gave his field assistance in the "Andean Condor Conservation Program". In 2007 he moved to Bariloche city with the aim of start his formal studys and spend more time helping investagators, obtaining more experience in formal science. Since then he is helping in different projects which include species like Vultur gryphus, Buteo albigula, Strix rufipes, and several species of carrion eaters.
At the present time, he´s an advanced biology student working on his degree thesis on distribution of raptors related with human activity
