Alejandro Kusch


I was born at Punta Arenas, Chile in 1974. I studied a degree in biology and a M.Sc. in Natural Resources Management in the University of Magallanes. Currently I work on environmental assessment and mean research are raptor associations with ranch management, raptor diversity and distribution.

   Research Interests

Neotropical ornithology, and responses of vertebrate wildlife to human disturbance.
In ornithology: Raptor biology/conservation, steppe birds ecology, penguins and biogeography.
Other interests: Bird-habitat relationships and human impacts, esspecially tourism, ranching, gas/oil exploration, etc.
